Your Room

This is just a quick little look at your room...our living situation isn't super permanent (yet) so we have everything set up in a temporary yet gives mommy some peace kind of way! It's cute but I can't wait to really set up your room!!

Sweet Sweet Sleep

This is the first night that we are trying a new sleep schedule. I thought it would be harder than this. So far we were putting you to bed when we went to bed so we could sleep more.. I figure now that you are quickly approaching three months it's time for you to have a little boy bed time. Today I tried to not let you sleep more than normal and we put you down at 9pm after a bath, bottle and some Bible stories. I think it is going to work well and it will be super easy to drop a early morning feeding. We will see how it goes. I'm hoping and praying that this goes well.

Baby Jeans

Everytime I put you in jeans you give me this, ” you have got to be kidding me woman!”, look. I feel bad but you look so cute! Jake, you must be like your mama. As a true child of the 80’s I refused to wear jeans until I was 10! I sported leggings with t-shirts that were much too long and pulled to the side with a scrunchie!! A trend that is slowly resurfacing again...maybe I should try for a style change...what do you think? I'm giving you another reason to be embarrassed aren't I?

Stroller

This is your sweet baby ride...pretty pimp right? Your Nana and Papa got it for you. You aren't so keen on it now...you just want to be held...but I think eventually you will come to love it!

"I just have to give my stroller a little shout out. I love it!! I know it's not one of those fancy strollers but this thing pushes like a dream and if you can believe it, it fold in one swift motion. I grab the folder handle and it folds right in half, it even fits in my hubby's jeep, which has the smallest trunk space ever! I went to the mall on Saturday and just loved pushing it around!!" -Mommy...loves this stroller!

Shots...

My baby had his first shots today. You did so well! Just big screams with each injection and then you were fine. I held it together too, I thought I would cry for sure! We are choosing to vaccinate, mostly because, more harm could come to you from us choosing to not vaccinate and nothing has proven to me that they aren't safe. Everything is subjective, sometimes you just have to pray that the Lord helps you make the right decision and gives you grace! We are doing what we think is best for you. If at any time I think they are harmful, you won't get them. There it is...plain and simple. I love you!

Stuffin your face

Jake, you have offically discovered your hands and you try to devour them! You get pretty frustrated when they don’t fit in your mouth!

Nerdy boy

This is you in your Star Wars onesie. Your daddy really likes Star Wars, so we hope someday you will too. I'm sorry that we are dooming you to be slightly nerdy for the rest of your life. But I married your daddy so you will find someone someday too...I promise...don't be too embarrassed of us!!

Valentines Day!!

Our delightful Valentines Day brunch! We had Ebelskivers and Srawberry freezer jam! Happy First Valentines Day my love. You were a great addition this year!!

Conversations

Hey Jake,

I was feeding you and you were staring at me all cute with your deep blue eyes. You smiled at me and milk dribbled down your chin. Then you started "talking" to me with a mouth full of bottle. I just love that you are starting to communicate. I wonder what you thought was so important that you interrupted your sacred meal time? It was the cutest thing I have ever seen, then again I say that about everything you do!

I Love Saturdays!!

What a delightful morning! Jake, you slep for 7 hours then woke up ate and went right back to sleep between mommy and daddy! I love looking over to see both my boys in bed! Before you was born I was against you ever sleeping in our bed. It still doesn’t happen a lot, but I like when does!

Precious Moments

 When you, my little one fall asleep in my arms it feels as though you have given me the most prescious gift. The trust you have bestowed in me, melts my heart. There is no greater feeling in the world than recieving the love of an infant. I will miss these times greatly as you grow and no longer wants to cuddle but I will hold this moment in my heart forever....
